The stamp on the bottom says "W. GERMANY," which confirms it was produced between 1949 and 1990. Based on the style and numbers, it’s made by Scheurich, one of the most prolific and popular West German ceramic producers of that era.
You can faintly see the numbers 806-15 on the bottom. In West German pottery, the first number refers to the shape/form, and the second number refers to the height in centimeters (approx. 15cm).
This style is often referred to as "Fat Lava" pottery, characterised by thick, textured glazes and bold, earthy colour palettes. The combination of moss green, ochre/mustard yellow, and dark chocolate brown is quintessential 1970s "Retro" decor.
The speckled green sections and the "foamy" texture of the yellow bands are typical of the experimental kiln techniques used during this period to give pieces an organic, volcanic look.
The tapered, stepped base is a classic Scheurich design for cachepots (planters intended to hold a plastic nursery pot), there is a hole drilled or broken into the centre of the bottom for drainage.
