Mid Century shelving retro pine bookshelf

A Mid-Century Modern (MCM) bookcase, crafted from solid pine. The side panels extend slightly above the top shelf and feature rounded front corners. This is a classic "waterfall" design element popular from the late 1930s through the 1950s.

The visible knots and wide grain patterns suggest it is made from knotty pine. It became extremely popular in the mid-20th century for "colonial" or "rustic" modern styles.

The piece is in excellent vintage condition. The patina is deep and even, though there appears to be some minor character wear on the side panels. Solid pine is a softer wood, which many collectors feel adds to its vintage charm.
