The Chiavari has been made in the town it is named for since 1807, when Giuseppe Gaetano Descalzi worked out how to build a chair both genuinely elegant and light enough to lift with one hand. That structural trick is why the form never went away.

This set takes the classic silhouette into polished brass and adds a bat motif — Hollywood Regency theatrics on a frame designed for restraint. The result is far bolder than either tradition alone.
