Danish Lounge, Santa Fe Italian Fabric

A Danish teak-frame lounge, recently reupholstered in Santa Fe Italian boucle.

The fabric is the reason to look twice. A thick boucle yarn woven in Italy — acrylic, cotton, viscose, linen and wool — which gives it a weight and surface texture that flat upholstery cannot approach. It sits beautifully against boucle plains if you are building a room around it.

The teak frame runs to 183cm and sits low at 40cm, giving the piece the lounging stance the period was designed around.
