Pine takes wear differently to teak. Where a hardwood resists marking, pine records it — so the surface here carries the history of everything that happened on it, and that is the appeal rather than a fault.

At 181cm it seats six comfortably and eight at a push. Solid pine construction throughout, in the plain farmhouse register Post and Rail worked in alongside their brutalist pieces.
