Burgess built a reputation in Australia on quality that outlasted the fashion for it, and these are the pieces that prove it — three drawers each, all still sliding properly fifty years on, which is the first thing to fail on lesser furniture.

A matched pair is worth more than two singles. The grain runs consistently across both, which never quite happens when bedsides are assembled separately.
