A Burgess teak dresser from the 1970s, with nine drawers and brass detailing.

Nine drawers is unusual. Most dressers of the period ran to six, and the extra capacity here is arranged with beautifully profiled centre drawers — narrower, deeper, and set apart from the rest, so the front reads as designed rather than merely stacked.

Australian teak throughout, with brass pulls that have warmed rather than tarnished.
