A Danish oak highboard by Henning Kjærnulf, made in the 1950s.

Oak rather than teak is worth noting. Kjærnulf worked in both, and the oak pieces have aged into a paler, drier tone that suits a light room where teak would darken it — and they turn up far less often.

At 195cm wide and 118cm high this is a genuine highboard rather than a tall sideboard, giving both cupboard and drawer storage at a height where the top surface is usable for display.
