Designed by Danish cabinetmaker Henning Kjærnulf (1911–1975), this 1950s oak highboard is crafted in solid oak with beautifully carved detailing and a sculptural raised base. Absolutely beautiful rainbow coloured stain glass. The silhouette is defined by gently rounded door frames, chamfered edges, and turned legs joined by stretcher bars.
The piece offers generous, functional storage across three cabinet compartments and four lower drawers. The left cabinet contains four shallow interior drawers lined in deep green velvet with modular organizers designed for flatware or small collectibles. The center cabinet is enclosed by two original green-glass doors with interior shelving and the right cabinet includes two additional adjustable shelves. Each door is fitted with its original brass escutcheon, and the highboard comes with one functioning key. The base is constructed as a separate component, allowing for easier moving and installation.
Vintage condition with natural surface variation, subtle wear, and a beautifully aged oak patina consistent with age and craftsmanship.
