Elite Furniture (often operating as Elite Woodworking Co. Pty. Ltd.) was a significant Australian manufacturer based in Sydney during the mid-century era. While they might not have the same immediate name recognition as Parker or Fler today, they were a powerhouse of quality, accessible modern design in the 1960s and 70s.
Their main operations were located at 296 Botany Rd, Alexandria, NSW. This area was a hub for furniture manufacturing at the time.
In later years (specifically the 1980s), the brand became associated with Carricks Furniture, a Brisbane-based manufacturer. You will often see vintage pieces listed as "Carricks (Elite)" because of this transition.
