Six Elite bean chairs from around 1970, restored and reupholstered in a fabric of your choosing.

The bean is the softest shape Elite made — a rounded back that curves to meet the sitter, and a seat wider than its dining-chair contemporaries at 49cm. Comfortable in a way that squared-off chairs of the period simply are not.

The frames are Tasmanian Ash rather than teak, which gives a paler, more open grain and suits a lighter room.
