Hans Wegner GE 236/3 Oak Sofa — Custom Upholstery

An original Hans Wegner GE 236/3 three-seater, produced by Getama in Denmark and designed in 1955.

This is Wegner working at his most architectural — a European oak frame left fully visible, carrying steel-sprung cushions rather than foam. Steel springs are why sixty-year-old Wegner seating still sits true when foam-only sofas of the same age have collapsed.

The oak frame has been cleaned and refinished. Upholstery is yours to choose, with leather and fabric samples posted.
