Mid-Century Maple Headboard & Bedside Set — 1960s

A bespoke maple bedhead from the 1960s with integrated bedside tables, glass tops and louvre doors.

Built as a single piece rather than assembled from three, which is why the grain runs continuously across the whole 226cm span. Bedroom sets put together from separate finds never quite match; this one never had to.

The louvre doors mark it as cabinetmaker's work rather than factory production, and the glass tops protect the maple where a lamp and a book will sit every night.

The bed gap measures 148cm, sized for a double.
