Teak Lowboy Dresser

A mid-century lowboy dresser in teak veneer, with six drawers and sleek timber handles.

Timber handles rather than metal is the detail that dates it — cut from the same stock as the front so they read as part of the piece rather than added to it. Metal pulls were cheaper and far more common.

Six drawers across 151.5cm gives genuine bedroom storage at a low profile, so it does not close in a room the way a tallboy does. The top takes a mirror or a lamp comfortably.

A few small flaws, but it presents beautifully.
