Noblett was a South Australian maker and a mainstay of the Australian mid-century movement, producing Scandinavian-inspired work that stood comparison with Parker and Fler while never carrying the same premium.

The storage is entirely concealed, so the piece presents as a clean run of teak rather than a set of doors. That is what lets it work in a living room or hallway as readily as a dining room — it does not announce itself as furniture for tableware.
