Parker Brown Velvet Ottoman — 1970s

A Parker ottoman in brown velvet, made in the 1970s to accompany the modular lounge range.

Ottomans are the piece that almost never survives. They were sold as an accessory, used hardest, and discarded first — so finding one that matches a modular set of the same period is largely luck.

It works as a footstool, as extra seating when a room fills, or as a low surface with a tray across it. Brown velvet sits comfortably against teak and walnut without competing.
