A Parker recliner armchair in teak and Blackwood, designed by Tony Parker in the 1960s and fully restored.

Restoration here means re-gluing every joint, sanding the frame back, and finishing with oil — so the chair is structurally new inside a frame that cannot be reproduced at this quality today. The recline is gentle rather than mechanical, which is exactly why these have outlasted the era's motorised alternatives.

Two are currently available, so a pair is possible.

Custom order in a fabric of your choosing, 3–4 weeks. Samples arranged before work begins.
