Mid Century Space Age Börge Lindau chrome table white retro vintage

Swedish Modernist "Contract" design from the late 1960s or 70s. It embodies the transition from Mid-Century warmth to the bold, industrial "Space Age" aesthetic that Börge Lindau and Bo Lindekrantz pioneered for Lammhults.

It strips away all unnecessary ornament. The "decoration" is simply the shine of the chrome and the perfect geometry of the circle.

Every element is clearly defined. You can see exactly how it’s built—there’s no hidden joinery. This "honest" construction is a hallmark of Lindau & Lindekrantz’s S70 series philosophy.

While it’s a functional work surface, the heavy chrome base gives it a "grounded" sculptural presence. It feels more like an architectural object than just a piece of furniture.
