Display cabinets were the piece a household bought last, once the practical furniture was in place — which is why fewer were made and fewer survive. The glass front and open shelving are the point: this is furniture for showing rather than storing.

Warm teak with gold detailing gives it more presence than the plain teak cabinets of the period. Deep enough at 33cm for ceramics and glassware, shallow enough to sit against a wall in a hallway or dining room without crowding it.
