Tessa Blackwood & Smoked Glass Coffee Table, Large

A large Tessa coffee table designed by Fred Lowen in the 1970s, made in Melbourne.

A solid frame in satin finish carrying a 10mm smoked glass top. Ten millimetres is heavier than the standard of the period and it shows — the glass sits without flex, and the table reads as substantial rather than fragile despite being see-through.

At 136cm this is the large version, sized for a full lounge run rather than an apartment.

Excellent condition.
