Westnofa 'Siesta' Chair, 1965 — Custom Order (3–4 Weeks)

The Siesta chair, designed by Ingmar Relling in 1965 and the piece that carried Norwegian furniture design around the world.

Its reputation rests on how it holds you. The frame is laminated beech, which gives a slight spring that rigid chairs never manage, and the leather cushions rest on a sling that lets the chair conform to the sitter rather than the other way around. Minimal, light, and quietly engineered.
