A rare Parker Gold Tip table from the 1950s, in maple with golden timber grain.

The gold tips on the leg ends are what the model is named for — small metal caps that finish each leg and catch the light, a detail Parker used briefly in that decade and dropped afterwards.

The floating-style top sits clear of the frame, which gives a 1950s table a lightness that its contemporaries do not have.

Earlier Parker than most of what survives, and the maple is unusual against the teak the company later became known for.
